Katsucon 007

Chibi Moon has been a regular at a number of Anime on DVD gatherings. There was one such gathering at a Japanese restaurant before Katsucon. Of course, Chibi Moon was there as the center of attention. Literally. We stuck her on the grill. (It was just warm, so it hardly counts as a test.)

Pictured here are Victor, LadyFae, PatrickD, Fangboy, and Buford waiting for their meals. Buford is holding Chibi Moon above PatrickD's head for all to see.

Thanks to Bludstone for the photo.

Anime Mid-Atlantic

June 15-17, 2001 was a strange weekend for poor old Chibi Moon. She managed to attend TWO conventions at the exact same time. Her right half travelled to Richmond, VA to attend Anime Mid-Atlantic.

Here we see Chibi Moon and Anime Mid-Atlantic's con chair, Ed Fortner. From the look on his face, you can tell he takes his job very seriously.

On the other hand, H-Chan, one of Studio Ironcat's catgirls, is quite happy to meet Chibi Moon...or what's left of Chibi Moon.

Thanks to Buford for the photos.

Mikkakan

The other convention Chibi Moon attended on the weekend of June 15-17, 2001 was Mikkakan. Her left half was held, hugged, and even bitten by quite a few attendees.

Here we see one lucky Chibi Project fan who couldn't wait to have her picture taken with Chibi Moon.

Anime Expo 2001

Out at Anime Expo in Long Beach, CA, there was a reception for anime music video creators. Shortly after the reception, PatrickD was chatting away with a few other AMV creators. When Sandra, Justin Emerson's sister, heard "Adequate.com", she remembered The Chibi Project...and out came Chibi Moon to say hello.

Otakon 2001

There was quite a bit of Chibi lovin' going on at Otakon 2001. With 10,000 attendees, there were bound to be a few who had heard of The Chibi Project.

These sailor scouts may look familiar to people who were at Mikkakan. It's Sam and Jody, two of Mikkakan's hard-working staff members. Jody played the part of "Mikka-chan", Mikkakan's mascot, but here she's protecting Earth as one of the outer senshi...with the aid of Chibi Moon!

By the way, five months later, Jody's hair was still blue.

When PatrickD was going to get in line for Mystery Anime Theater 3000, he spotted a group of people with one of our Anime Con Bingo cards. Shocked and amazed that people were actually playing the game, he stopped to talk. Of course, they had heard of The Chibi Project too and were more than happy to pose for a photo with Chibi Moon.

We hope to see Lauren, Beth, Val, Tara, Jess, and Brian again someday.

Great American Anime Expo 2001

Even though Great American Anime Expo was a horrible convention and a big waste of money, most people seemed quite happy to get to snog Chibi Moon when presented with the opportunity.

These girls were pretty happy to have their picture taken with Chibi Moon, but one of their friends refused.

Margo was quite happy to get to reunite with Chibi Moon after first seeing her at Mikkakan, but the mood didn't last long...when Chibi Moon refused to pay up, they had to try to beat more "pimpin' money" out of her.

...and yes, that's Jody as the pimp. The same Jody that's the sailor senshi above.

Towards the end of the convention, PatrickD, one of The Chibi Project's founders, had an impromptu autograph session. Check out that line!

If you look closely, you can see Chibi Moon in front of the sign.

Anime North 2002

These three girls spotted me during PatrickD's one and only trip into the tiny dealers' room. They got to hold the post-Rocket Test Chibi.

After PatrickD took the photo of the three girls above, they ran and got a friend of theirs to pose too.

Note the Akito in the background.

Anime Expo 2002

This is Eric. He's such a big fan of ours, he even has his own Chibi Moon. Unfortunately, she was quite intact. We decided to fix that and selected his Chibi Moon to take part in the geocaching experiment.

Apparently the person walking by in the background is in awe over our power. ...or maybe I had a booger. I'm not sure.

Otakon 2002

Yet another Otakon, yet another Chibi Project fan!

Anime Expo New York 2002

This is b00ga at Anime Expo New York. His badge says "Shawn", but don't let that fool you. He's wearing one of our first Chibi Project T-shirts! That means he's cool. In fact, he's still cool when he's wearing some other shirt.

Katsucon 9.1

At Katsucon 9, the snow started falling...and didn't stop. A lot of us were stuck at the hotel. While wandering around, PatrickD encountered this Chibi Project fan who wanted her photo taken with Chibi Moon.

Anime Expo 2003

Sock Ally and Chibi Moon hung out a lot at Anime Expo 2003. They're both quite the travel whores. Just look at that grin on Sock Ally's face...you can tell he's up to no good.

Tsubasa-Con 2005

We did a live test out at Tsubasa-Con in West Virginia. Fans all crowded around to see a Sailor Moon Cycle go splat. Of course, Chibi Moon was there too.

Animaritime 2006

André was way too excited about holding Chibi Moon. There was even a Chibi Project panel that was very well attended. Canadians love senseless destruction too! ...or maybe it's a Canadian Maritimes thing. We'll have to look into this more.
